| My Heart Trembles © 2006 Thomas M. Parker Sometimes I look at the clouds in the sky And wonder why... I wonder why I'm here. I've seen a lot of sorrow in life But when happiness comes Reality brings a tear. You've too much past to fall in love. The lightning strikes my soul, And my heart trembles at the thought of growing cold. We see the world through a windowless screen. We're live on the scene, And the camera records our fear. We search the people for someone to love. But, we touch with a glove, And remember the last with tears. You've too much past to fall in love. And the lightning strikes my soul. And I see myself alone and growing old. Well, I recall a time when I held your hand. And, you looked at me with eyes that said You'd never want another man. But, your eyes grew dark... And your smile went away... Sometimes I look at the clouds in the sky And wonder why... I wonder why I'm here. I've seen a lot of sorrow in life And when happiness comes Reality brings a tear. You've too much past to fall in love. And the lightning strikes my soul, And my heart trembles at the thought of growing... Cold.
